Hi there. I'm the current Simplified Chinese translator of Krita. Krita uses NSIS for its Windows releases. Thank you for maintaining NSIS!

Krita recently enabled multilingual support in our installers. I think NSIS's base Simplified Chinese translation, last updated 10 years ago, can use some improvements.

I've already updated the related files, and I will attach them below. Anything more I should do, please let me know.

Are you sure all these changes are better?

I checked with Google Translate AND the Microsoft Terminology Collection.

DirSubCaption: Our 安装文件夹 is better? Why switch to 安装目录?

UnDirSubCaption: Our 解除安装文件夹 is better? Why switch to 卸载文件夹? Google translates this to unmount.

(I stopped checking the .NLF after UninstallBtn and I did not check the .NSH)

Hi, I'm confident that my version is better. I'm native Chinese who live in China, and I have been handling admin tasks for 20 years in every organization I worked in. I have translated more than 400,000 words in various projects and I am corrently one of the two proof readers for KDE Simplified Chinese translation project. I double check my translation against specialized dictionaries and university textbooks published by trustworthy presses.

Both Google and Microsoft are either retreated or on their way out of mainland China these days, their Simplified Chinese translation are not being maintained properly. Sometimes they are either user-generated (google) or just conversions from their tranditional Chinese counterparts, or machine translation with minimal human confirmation (MS). Windows 10's translations were so famouly bad it became news in China. When I was translating Krita, many of their translation do not match the ones used used in published dictionaries or textbooks.

Allow me to explain the examples you took:

    DirSubCaption
    Both 安装文件夹 and 安装目录 works.
However, Dir is Directory, which can only be translated to 目录.
Not only that, 文件夹 is just Folder, which is flat and doesn't imply a sense of Location.
Therefore we usually use 目录 in mainland China for this context.

    UnDirSubCaption
Uninstall has a specific term in Simplified Chinese, which is 卸载.
解除安装 is an awkward combination of Dis- and Install or Anti- and Install.
It immeidately tells the reader that the translator is not from mainland China.
We don't use 解除安装. We can use the following terms for the function of Uninstall:
    Remove - 移除
    Delete - 删除
    Uninstall - 卸载
Therefore 卸载 is, and has always been the best translation for Uninstall.

If you want me to explain of every difference I made, I can provide that, but I would really appreciate my nationality and expertise and goodwill to be trusted. Thank you.

Your reply here is more than adequate, I try to do a basic validation of submitted translations even when I don't speak said language.
