I found a bug when NSIS is compiled as a 64 bit build (trunk r6557). When running MakeLangId.exe and zip2exe.exe, I get an error saying: "The application was unable to start correctly (0x0000007b). Click OK to close the application.".
So some testing and internet searching hinted at a problem with the manifest config, which currently says: processorArchitecture="X86". Changing this to "amd64" fixes the problem, but breaks the 32 bit build. So I checked out Makensisw as well, and it already has the required platform fix.
So the fix involves changing an argument in the xml files to processorArchitecture="*", which fixes both programs, and both run fine on my machine.
