Hello MSYS2 users. Following an announcement from Cygwin[1], the MSYS2 runtime will be dropping support for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 starting with the next release. We advise anyone still needing to use Windows XP/2003 to stay on the current release (set `IgnorePkg = msys2-runtime` in your `/etc/pacman.conf`[2]). I expect the current runtime will continue to work with new packages for some time. Our mingw-w64 packages and your mingw-w64 build products shouldn't be affected by this change AFAIK.
