We haven't yet found a permutation of
-Wl,--export-dynamic LDFLAGS that make plugin-loading
work on all platforms. Linux is (sometimes) forgiving,
but OS X and Cygwin seem to be diametrically opposed.
I'm not sure if this will be helpful....
On OS X I was getting an error saying the "-export-dynamic"
was an unknown flag when linking player. Changing this to
"--export-dynamic" seemed to do the trick.

I've changed the player build so that the server is linked
with libtool. This may (or may not) fix the problem.

Nobody has complained, so it would seem that using libtool
has done the trick.
The fix will appear in Player 1.6.3.
