User Reviews

  • An excellent implementation of the BattleTech campaign ruleset. That's not an easy fit.
  • This collection of software is a feat at that. I have downloaded it, and read a walk-through[5] and it definitely helped me get started because just looking at the directories with the files in them lead to no conclusions how to set the system up. Then upon reading the main MekWars Page[1], it did not seem to contain much except for a link to an empty Wiki[4] and a forum[2], however, reading the main page, it said to go to the MekWars.net[3] page instead, which was just another forum. There isn't much on how to set up a server, or how to use the program on the forums, and most has been just guessing for me at this point. It does seem to try to be user friendly by putting them through a "training unit". I haven't figured out how to get that to work fully yet because there are errors when loading the units. I'll continue to try to play with it, and hopefully update this review. • It's a subpar product that is so full of glitches that it borders on unusable.
  • An amazing technical accomplishment considering the massive scope of the Battletech ruleset and fanbase.
